A calm voice and a few quick questions
When you call Vancouver Locksmith Store after hours, a real person answers. We will ask where you are, what kind of door or vehicle you are locked out of, whether anyone is in danger and whether you have ID with you. Those answers decide which technician and which tools come to you.
You will be told the current availability honestly. Night calls are handled in the order they come in, and we would rather give you a realistic time than a promise we cannot keep.
Being ready when the technician arrives
- Have photo ID and, if possible, something that ties you to the address or vehicle: a lease, utility bill, registration or insurance card.
- Stay somewhere safe and visible. A lit porch or the front of a building is better than a dark side entrance.
- If you are locked out of a car, note the make, model and roughly where it is parked.
Verification is not a formality. It is the step that stops a locksmith from opening a door for the wrong person, and it protects you as much as anyone.
No surprises on price
Before any work starts, the technician explains what needs doing and confirms the price. For most lockouts that is a service call plus the entry itself. If the lock has to be drilled because it cannot be picked, you will be told why and what a replacement costs before it happens.
Payment methods are confirmed on the phone when you book. We accept major credit cards.
After the door is open
A good night-time locksmith does not just leave. We check the lock still works smoothly, ask whether you want a spare key cut so this does not happen again, and point out anything on the door that looks worn or unsafe. None of that is a sales pitch; you decide what, if anything, to do next.
